Driven Volunteers with The Education Partnership

The Education Partnership, formerly Storehouse for Teachers, provides the tools and resources necessary to support teachers and enhance a student's ability to learn and succeed. Qualifying teachers visit the Resource Center, receiving critically needed school supplies for themselves and their students - all at no cost. The organization counts on product donations and financial support from corporations, foundations and individuals in the community.
This amazing non-profit organization is dedicated to addressing educational inequities by providing and enabling access to the tools and resources necessary to support teachers and enhance a student's ability to learn and succeed.

This coming Saturday, April 13th we will be volunteering at their location in Green Tree to assist teachers and make the distribution process run smoothly.

Visit their website to see how you can help out at www.theeducationpartnership.org !

We would like to formally introduce our new Recruiter, Lainey Schuler, to everyone (that is, if you haven't already seen our PRLog about her-we just can't stop bragging!).

Lainey is from Brookline here in Pittsburgh, PA.  She is a Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates fan through and through.  She has array of past experiences that range from being in the law enforcement field to owning a tanning salon.

Lainey enjoys listening to music, spending time with friends, traveling, and SHOPPING.  She is full of energy and extremely hard working.

At this time, Lainey is only in her first month with us at Driven Marketing Solutions, but she has already exceeded all expectations.  We look forward to growing our opportunity with her!

Animal Friends' Chow Wagon Success

As many of you know, we participated in the Animal Friends' Chow Wagon last week.  We have received word that they collected 1,407 pounds of pet food, treats, and toys to be distributed at area food pantries.  They also received $637 in donations.

Driven Marketing Solutions would like to extend another thank you to all those who donated from our office and from the entire Foster Plaza.  The Chow Wagon had many activities going on, from the ice cream stand, therapy dogs, and Y108 crew making an appearance.

Visit the Animal Friends' site to learn more about the Chow Wagon and other events they have going on at thinkingoutsidethecage.org .

The Haunted Trail Gets Some Witches Brew

Friday night we participated in the annual Haunted Trail at The Woodlands in Wexford, PA.  The trail was decorated with vampires, spider webs, a monster mash dance party, a jail escapee, and of course, the best group of witches and warlocks in Pennsylvania!  We served up some eyeball stew while cackling on our three brooms-two of which were your run of the mill household brooms.  Oddly enough, none of us had standard witch-like brooms hanging around our houses. : )

I would say that Joe and Craig probably enjoyed themselves the most since they were able to hide in the dark wearing all black scaring those walking the trail, the guides, and us (Jen, Lizzy, and myself).  We not only entertained ourselves with spooking people, but also enjoying some hot chocolate and cookies.

If you didn't check out the trail this year, I highly recommend going next year.  To see what The Woodlands has going on next, check out their site! http://www.woodlandsfoundation.org/

And if you ever want to learn more about us, visit our website at www.dmspitt.com or any of our social media pages.  We are on Twitter @DrivenMktg and have pictures from The Haunted Trail on Facebook .

Happy Halloween!

Archery, Ladder Golf, and Baseball at The Woodlands

Recently, we had an awesome opportunity to volunteer at The Woodlands in Wexford, PA.  The Woodlands is a camp for children and adults who have varying disabilities.  We had the pleasure of interacting with the adult campers that weekend.  We all had such a good time with all the activities which included, frisbee golf, archery, kickball, softball, and ladder golf.  If the opportunity ever arises for you to go there, I highly recommend it.  I laughed and smiled so much that my face hurt!

We started with frisbee golf and archery, which I haven't done in years-still very fun!  At lunch (grilled cheese and tomato soup-yum), we got the chance to meet the rest of the campers.  When we were done with lunch, we were able to have free time with some of the campers from our morning group and a few others that we had not gotten to know very well.

We had such an amazing time and look forward to going back.  An upcoming event The Woodlands is hosting is their Haunted Trail.  Check out their website if you are interested in participating at http://www.woodlandsfoundation.org/
